Hero and Community Day at Worcester Art Museum
Cost: Free with regular museum admission
Location: Worcester Art Museum 55 Salisbury St Worcester
Time: 10am-5pm

Come dressed as your favorite Star Wars character and join Jedi Knights and Imperial Stormtroopers for a day of “Force-full” fun! Demonstrations, hands-on art activities, hero art tours, meet community heroes and Star Wars Characters!  Food Trucks, touch-a-truck and more!

Patriots’ Day observances at Old Sturbridge will resound with the peal of bells, the stirring beat of drums and the thrilling call of the fife, as the Sturbridge Militia musters on the common. Special programs and activities throughout the day.

Hampstead Stage Company presents ‘Beauty & the Beast’

Wednesday, April 18

Fruitlands Museum: Family Hike
Cost: Adults-Free, Children-$10 (Includes museum admission for the day)
Location: Fruitlands Museum, Harvard
Time: 1:00pm-2:30pm

Hit the trails and explore our woods and meadows in this guided family hike. We will gather as a group at the Wayside Gallery and then begin our adventure. Fruitlands educators will share fun facts about our history, land, and wildlife and facilitate group activities that with engage all ages. Recommended for ages 6 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tinytropolis at Discovery Museum

Come visit the Mini City with a Big Future! Join us as we design, build, and explore a mini city constructed completely out of cardboard and creativity. This changing and evolving temporary space will be put together by staff and visitors.

Want to meet an important scientist who’s protecting the planet? Just look in the mirror: Science needs you! Harness your powers of observation to help solve real-world problems in your backyard and across the globe. Hunt for stars, peek at plants and track animal trends, then share your discoveries. Table top activities, live science programs, planetarium shows and much more!

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston Hosts Lego NINJAGO Days
Cost: Free with museum admission
Location: Assembly Row, Boston
Time: All Day

Activities will include viewings of the new LEGO® NINJAGO® Master of the 4th Dimension 4D movie which premieres on April 7th, LEGO® NINJAGO® MINILAND takeover and scavenger hunt, LEGO® NINJAGO® themed build in the Master Builder Academy and photo opportunities during the week with LEGO® NINJAGO® ninja Kai.

Roger Williams Park Zoo: Party for the Planet

It’s time to party, Party for the Planet that is, at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, RI April 16 – 20.  This year’s event will celebrate the importance of conservation and our environment represented at the core of the mission at Roger Williams Park Zoo.  The week long bash introduces guests to some of the new Rainforest animals joining the Zoo family this summer, provide the opportunity to enjoy animal encounters with some interesting creatures, learn some circus acrobatics, participate in a drumming circle, sculpt, and sing. See website for daily adventures!

Worcester Art Museum School Vacation Week

Time: Morning and/or Afternoon Sessions

Join in the vacation week workshops that provide a creative hands-on experience for ages 3-17.  All workshops include a visit to the Museum galleries and interaction with professional artists and educators. The goal of the program is to develop important skills that lead to increased creativity, helping students make their own work of art.

Vacation Week at Tower Hill Botanic Garden
Cost: Most activities are free with museum admission

Blue Man Group
Cost: Varies
Location: Charles Playhouse, Boston
Time: Afternoon and Evening Shows

Truly a rite of passage for anyone in New England, Blue Man Group and their unique mixture of art, comedy and music will entertain families this April school vacation week with 24 shows from April 14-22. Their schedule includes added weekday matinees at 1:30pm and 4:30pm that are great for families and visitors to Boston looking for a one-of-a-kind show experience. In addition, free face painting and decorate-a-mask activities will be offered before select performances. Area restaurants offering kids eat free!

The Magic of Steve Charette (Tuesday-Thursday)
Cost: $5 at the door.
Location: Higgins Armory, Worcester
Time: 11am and 2pm

Fun for the whole family, Doors open 30 minutes before the show and are general admission.
