Spring Community Day at WAM: Heroes and Villains!
Cost: Free with regular museum admission
Location: Worcester Art Museum 55 Salisbury St Worcester

WAM’s Spring Community Day spotlights a wide variety of heroes, as well as their inevitable counterparts — villains — from throughout history, cultures, and galaxies. Food Trucks, drop in art, demos and more!

Sunday, April 14

Easter Fun at Hardwick Vineyard & Winery
Cost: Adults, $5
Location: 3305 Greenwich Rd Hardwick, MA
Time: 11am -3pm

Festivities will include an Egg Hunt, Games, Crafts, Hayrides and of course the Easter Bunny!

Monday, April 15 (Patriots’ Day)

Patriots’ Day at OSV

Patriots’ Day observances at Old Sturbridge will resound with the peal of bells, the stirring beat of drums and the thrilling call of the fife, as the Sturbridge Militia musters on the common. Special programs and activities throughout the day.

Spectacular Science Show with Kosmic Kelly

Location: Leominster Public Library, 30 West St, Leominster
Time: 10am

An exciting, educational, and interactive science show, featuring all of the best experiments! There will be fizzy rainbow volcanoes, elephant toothpaste, bubbling beakers, and more!

Wednesday, April 17

Roger Williams Park Zoo: Party for the Planet
Cost: Free with zoo admission
Location: 1000 Elmwood Ave, Providence, RI
Time: (Tuesday-Wednesday) 10:00am – 3:00pm

This year’s event highlights the Zoo’s conservation and animal care: Join us in engaging experiences that empower you to help conserve wildlife and wild places. Visit the new Faces of the Rainforest exhibit, participate in animal encounters, hear New Inca Son: The Best in Andean Music & Dance‘s music of South America, join a drum circle, and learn about animals from around the world. Also, test your soccer skills with the New England Revolution, bowl with Lang’s Bowlarama, and take photos with mascots like Roger the red panda!

Animal Craze Petting Zoo

Come meet, pet, and groom a variety of farm animals from Animal Craze Petting Zoo. All ages welcome.

Friday, April 19

Earth Day Celebration at The EcoTarium
Cost: Free with regular admission
Time: 10am-2pm

Come celebrate the planet and all that sustains it at the EcoTarium’s Earth Day event! Their earth-loving community partners will be onsite to support them in recycling and reusing! Enjoy energy-saving tips, tumble area for kids, and recycling drop-off station for old electronics. Plus they will have special interactive programs and hands-on activities! Free with admission; no special tickets required.

Saturday, April 20

Fruitlands Museum: Earth Day Kite Festival

Location: Fruitlands Museum, Harvard
Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm

Welcome the 2019 Main Season in style! Take in the sweeping views from atop the Fruitlands hillside and celebrate our landscape on Earth Day. Make your own simple kite, bring your own kite, and see the sky fill with colorful floats.

Tinytropolis at Discovery Museum

Come visit the Mini City with a Big Future! Join us as we design, build, and explore a mini city constructed completely out of cardboard and creativity. This changing and evolving temporary space will be put together by staff and visitors.

Vacation Week at EcoTarium (Monday-Friday)
Cost: Museum admission
Location: Harrington Way, Worcester
Time: All Day

Many events happening all week long! Table top activities, demos, animal discoveries and more.  The train is running for the season!

Annual Farm Fest (April 13-14 and April 20-21)
Cost: Free with regular museum admission
Location: Old Sturbridge Village, Route 20 Sturbridge
Time: All Day

Young and old are invited to celebrate spring with the arrival of baby animals and the prepping of our fields.

Worcester Art Museum School Vacation Week
Cost: Varies
Time: Morning and/or Afternoon Sessions

Join in the vacation week workshops that provide a creative hands-on experience for ages 3-17.  All workshops include a visit to the Museum galleries and interaction with professional artists and educators. The goal of the program is to develop important skills that lead to increased creativity, helping students make their own work of art.

Vacation Week at Tower Hill Botanic Garden
Cost: Most activities are free with museum admission
Location: Boylston
Time: 10am-4pm

Drop in crafts, family walks, special story times, special activities all week long.

Blue Man Group
Cost: Varies
Location: Charles Playhouse, Boston
Time: Afternoon and Evening Shows

Truly a rite of passage for anyone in New England, Blue Man Group and their unique mixture of art, comedy and music will entertain families this April school vacation week with 24 shows from April 12-21. Their schedule includes added weekday matinees at 1:30pm and 4:30pm that are great for families and visitors to Boston looking for a one-of-a-kind show experience. In addition, free face painting and decorate-a-mask activities will be offered before select performances. Area restaurants offering kids eat free!
